Task III Funding

Task III funding comes from within NOAA (e.g., NWS units, Office of Global Programs, COMET) in response to proposal submissions, increasingly on a competitive basis. In other words, this task comprises support of sponsored research. Principle investigators are OU faculty members (e.g., Meteorology, Geography, Civil and Environmental Engineering) and CIMMS scientists (including some located at NSSL). This research is conducted independently by the scientists under the budgetary supervision of OU and CIMMS management.
