Squall Line Misocyclone Loop

This is a loop of a well defined "misocyclone" along the gust front of an intense squall line, as observed by the University of Oklahoma's "Doppler on Wheels" mobile X-band doppler weather radar.

This event occurred on March 7, 2000, near Purcell Oklahoma. 360 degrees, radar-relative, is looking due east. Range rings are in 10 km increments from the radar.

This loop requires Java to be enabled on your web browser. Be careful...there are a lot of large images in this loop!
